Arch Enterprises Opens New Precious Metal Facility in Birmingham, Alabama

Mexico, MO (October 2013) — With family roots in Alabama, owner and president of Arch Enterprises Jim Lightsey, chose Birmingham as the ideal location for an initial stage satellite facility for precious metal refining. This location will same day process common precious metal items such as jewelry, pre-1965 silver coins and some sterling silver. Conveniently located in Southeastern region of the United States and easily accessible from major highways, Arch Enterprises is open and available for business at 200 Distribution Drive in Birmingham, Alabama.

“Growing up in Bluff Park I am very familiar with the business environment, as well as the people here in Birmingham,” said Jim Lightsey, president of Arch Enterprises. “This location has been a long time coming as we have built up our customer base in the Southeast. It was a natural expansion and we are looking forward to serving this area.”

The new location is an extension of the main headquarters located in Mexico, Missouri. While it is equipped to refine common items and analyze precious metals, large volumes of industrial material will be shipped to the main refining facility for processing. Customers in the Southeast will enjoy all the benefits of working direct with a refiner to receive the highest yields available on precious metal.

“The hardest part about our business is the general distrust that people have in working with precious metal dealers. Most often these are middle man resellers that upcharge promising refining status but simply cannot produce credentials to bare out the statement. To the best of our knowledge this is the only refining facility in the state of Alabama. We are as upfront as possible in telling people what they have and explain the price of precious metals and how the refining process works,” said Jim Lightsey.

Arch Enterprises’ business expansion is coming almost exactly 15 years after the company opened in 1997. The new location held their Grand Opening in September and is now open from Monday through Friday. Standard business hours are 8:30a – 4p however, we highly recommend that customers call before arriving, as this will eliminate any excessive waiting time. This facility also caters to pawn shops, gold buying representatives, jewelers, hospitals, medical buildings and labs and other businesses in the Southeast that need to work with a refiner to sell larger volumes of precious metals without waiting months for a return.

While Jim Lightsey splits his time between Missouri and Alabama, Donna Edwards is the manager and oversees the day to day operations at the Birmingham office located at 200 Distribution Drive, Birmingham, AL, 35209.
